BURR OAK FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY

COME JOIN THE FRIENDS OF THE BURR OAK TOWNSHIP LIBRARY.

The Friends of the Burr Oak Township Library are individuals in the Burr Oak area who want to support the library for the good of the community.  Meetings are at 7:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of September, November, January, March, May and July.  Meetings are in the Burr Oak Township Library- 220 South Second Street- Burr Oak, Michigan 49030.  Annual dues are $5.00/individual, $7.00/family, or $10.00/business or organization.  Our goal is to help in the aid of buying software to help establish an online  library catalog, to paying for new shelving, purchasing new materials to read, and to helping with the many childrens' programs. Friends have assisted with the Libri Foundation Grant to obtain new childrens' books from the "Children's Reads Program."  Book Club and the Recipe Club are also supported by the Friends.  Please stop by the Library and pick up a brochure/application and come join our group!  Any questions contact Kay Teadt at 651-8122.

Currently there isn't a Friends of the Library Group. Members moved away, are deceased or too few present to run the group at this time.
