Director's Message

Welcome 'SUMMER'!

'Summer' hasn't officially arrived by the calendar, but we have been receiving a gift of warm temperatures, sunny days, humidity and plenty of rain. Father's Day is fast approaching with a promise of hot, humid days.

The library was a live with activity, fun, sharing and making maracas. We began our 'Summer Reading Program' this past Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 10:00 am to 11:30 am. We discussed the importance of music in our daily lives. Our theme is 'Libraries Rock'!

The children were able to recall the instruments they new-tuba, drums, guitar, piano, etc. Each instrument creates a unique sound that helps each of us to feel happiness, sadness, excitement, anger and peace!

Our summer program will explore music and how it effects our lives for three weeks. the other three weeks, we will explore Science as to Earth's make-up-Volcanoes, Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Earthquakes, National Volcano parks of  Hawaii. Come and join us for some fun!

We will share a story or facts on Science of Music and Science of the Earth. We will make a craft and enjoy a snack.
