Director's Message

Happy Spring!

We have calendar changes for the library.

     March 30 - Friday and March 31 - Saturday the library will be closed for the Easter Holiday.

     Monday, April 2, the library will reopen at 3:00 p. m. - 7 p. m.

The month of April will be active for the library with activities offered for all ages.

April will be 'Library Hop' for St Joseph County Participating libraries in the county will welcome visitors to their library and activities. Ever wonder what other libraries do? Pick-up a 'passport at BOTL and take a tour of all the libraries in the county/area. From each home library, participants get a library passport. Each library will have a stamp for the passport along with a pin/or other small gift. We participated last year with around a dozen or so people visiting the community of Burr Oak and the library.

We will celebrate 'National Library Week' April 8 - 14 with 'Fine Forgiveness Week' info below. April 21-28 is 'Money Smart Week' with an activity on Saturday April 21st 'Lots and Lots of Coins' story, craft and snack 10:00 - 11::30 a. m.

April 30-May 6 'Children's Book Week' Everyone is encouraged to visit the library and find that book of interest. All ages are invited.

One Book, One County will be held on Thursday, April 26th at the Three Rivers Riviera Theatre. OBOC is partnering with the St. Joseph County Substance abuse Taskforce to bring John Temple author of American Pain to address the opioid crisis the deadliest drug epidemic in American history. We have two books to circulate for reading. We have tickets (free) for the event here at the library for those interested in attending. Seating is limited, so get your tickets very soon!
