Director's Message

SUMMER APPROACHES SOON!

Summer is around the corner date wise - Wednesday, June 21st. As the warmer temperatures approach, we are getting ready in the library for the Summer Reading Program. Our theme for this year is 'Build a Better World'. We will be going over various individual themes that go along with construction, daily ways of making a better world around us and learn about things to help us be better citizens. All activities are to help us improve as individuals to make a better community.

We begin our program on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 with a live interactive concert 'Shake, Rattle and Roll'. It should be a fun time getting moving and singing. Our programs will be on Tuesday's in June, July and August 1, 2017 beginning at 10:00 a.m.-11:15 a.m. The program is open to Kindergarteners through 4th grade. The following is a list of the Tuesday's and their theme's:

June 21st Theme: 'Shake Rattle and Roll' Live Concert!

June 27th Theme: 'Build' - Building is delightful and engaging.

July 1st - July 5th Library closed for holiday.

July 11th Theme: 'Discover' - Why should I protect Nature?

July 18th Theme: 'Live' - Why should I Save Energy?

July 25th Theme: 'Sense' - Sounds around us!

August 1st Theme: 'Transform' - Explore the idea of transformation

in construction!

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO THE LIBRARY ACTIVITIES HELD FOR THE

READING PROGRAM!

The upcoming programs/activities will be in the fall - Halloween community party(October), Christmas in the Library and Santa at the Gazebo (December).
